This Indian-American same-sex wedding is a must-see!

Samir Das, originally from India, met Dale through a mutual friend and after knowing each other socially for 3-4 years, they started dating. They were together for 6 years before they decided to get married!

The dashing Samir married his boyfriend in Washington few years ago. Many wedding guests came all the way from India to attend.

Samir said, “The wedding turned out great, and Indian guests said it was the best they have attended, including family members! This was especially amazing for us to hear, as our families were less than enthusiastic about it originally, and we were not sure if they would attend when we first informed them of our intention to get married.”

The handsome couple shared some more about their wedding ceremony, “We wanted to plan a ceremony that captured who we were, so we planned a fusion ceremony that incorporated both Indian and Western ceremonies. We also wanted a ceremony that was not just ‘all about us’, but acknowledged our friends and family and recognized their importance to this occasion.”

The theme of blue, white and purple color throughout the floral arrangements was carried over from the ceremony to the reception. The mandap, reception stage and details were clean and classy.
